Ode Two Joy
Ode Two Joy is an active-sculptural installation in which a piano is taken from London and divided. The shipping container that halves it is a marriage of wood bought, and transported from north and south of the Irish border. A European immigrant plays the European anthem within, but is limited to one half of the instrument, dividing the melody, and union. The installed piece confronts, and deconstructs artistic performance, while engaging with both the public, and the performer within.
Ode Two Joy was first exhibited at Pallas Projects, Dublin. (More Images Below)
