Obsolete Technology
In Obsolete Technology the inhabitants of inner city Dublin have their voice's recorded, as they sing the Irish national anthem. The piece reflects the Liberties area on the cusp of being enveloped, and redeveloped by an Ireland turning away from it’s past, in search of a globalized, gentrified, homogenized security. Their national anthem is recorded on a piece of obsolete technology as their community is reshaped by the highest bidder.
